New futuristic technologies and procedures geared towards medicine, health, and lifestyle are arising, and it’s easy to be blinded from what’s ethical as these technologies are becoming more popular because of their futuristic, shiny appeal. Even though most people would say it’s “more visually interesting to watch people inject themselves with new DNA than it is to watch finger-wagging bioethicists warn about risks,” (Sigal Samuel, paragraph 9) people must acknowledge bioethics now more than ever.
